Speaking exclusively to BUZZ after the event, Bravo expressed his gratitude to the overwhelming displays of support from the general public who has contributed to the success of the event over the years. “When I first started ‘47’, it was because I knew that I wanted to use my international platform to help others. Coming from such a close-knit community as Santa Cruz, I feel like it’s my duty to bring communities together through sport, and it feels good to have a team and fans who support that progress in such a big way.”

He said that the 5th edition of the charity event has exceeded all expectations by far. “The success of the event was indeed a result of the hard work, commitment and passion to want to help those in need by all members of the Dwayne Bravo Foundation. Our end goal has always been to give back and we couldn’t do it without corporate Trinidad. Special mention to our title sponsors, NLCB and the Suntory as we all of our other generous sponsors. We look forward to continued support next year from everyone – especially the public to whom I am forever grateful.”
