England coach to play Sterling in Sunday’s Euro 2020 qualifier

Raheem Sterling to return to England’s national squad for a Euro 2020 qualifier match against Kosovo on Sunday.

England’s coach Gareth Southgate has decided to reinstate Raheem Sterling to the national team to participate in the Euro 2020 qualifier match against Kosovo on Sunday (Nov 17).

Sterling was dropped from Thursday’s match against Montenegro following an onfield altercation with English national teammate Joe Gomez.

The incident occurred during Liverpool’s 3-1 win over Premier League title rivals Man City on Sunday.

Southgate came under fire after dropping the Man City star from the national squad.

Southgate explained his decision to play Sterling. “We move forward. The way he’s trained has been exemplary. He’s with the group, that’s the most important thing. He’s a massive part of what we do, has been, will be.”
