Grenada reverses ‘no thong’ carnival policy

Following outcry about the ban on thongs ahead of August’s Spicemas in Grenada, the decision has been reversed.

This comes after Grenadians began protesting the ban following the announcement last week. In showing their disapproval, some persons went as far as taping thongs to their cars.

BUZZ understands that last week the organisers stated that persons who violated the rules would be removed from the parade and fined.

However, the committee has since relented, and thongs are now allowed. Full body paint, nudity or indecent exposure will still remain outlawed for the carnival event.
