JC in danger of not making Manning Cup semis after draw with Excelsior

Jamaica College (JC) and Excelsior battled to a 0-0 in their ISSA/Digicel Manning Cup schoolboy football quarterfinals match at Stadium East on Wednesday (Nov 6).

JC had the better of play for most of the match, especially at the beginning of both halves, but failed to convert a number of good scoring chances.

The point earned from the match carries JC to two. They are in danger of not making the semifinals, as they will have to win their final match of the quarterfinals against St Andrew Technical High School (STATHS) to secure a spot.

Excelsior, in the meantime, only have a mathematical chance of making the semifinals as they are at the bottom of Group H with a single point.

The top two teams from each of the two quarterfinals group will advance to the semifinals.
