Reggae Girlz draw Canada, Mexico in CONCACAF Olympic qualifiers

Jamaica’s senior Reggae Girlz are in Group B of the final round of qualifiers for the CONCACAF women’s Olympic Games qualifiers, which will begin in January.

The Reggae Girlz will face two of the region’s giants, Canada and Mexico who have also been drawn in Group B. St Kitts and Nevis complete the group.

CONCACAF powerhouse, the United States of America (USA) heads Group A. They are joined by Costa Rica, Panama and Haiti.

The Reggae Girlz will play their preliminary round matches in Edinburg, Texas, where all the Group B matches will be played. Group A matches will be contested in Houston, Texas.

The top two teams from each group will progress to the semifinals, which will be played in Los Angeles, California. The final will also be played there.

The two finalists will qualify for the Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan next year.
