The Police High Command was reportedly in the dark about American rapper Kanye West’s pending performance set for Friday (Oct 18) at the Emancipation Park in New Kingston.

According to a source, the police leadership only became aware of the upcoming show, dubbed The Sunday Service Music Experience, after BUZZ broke the news on Wednesday afternoon (Oct 16).

BUZZ understands that the Police High Command was livid about being left in the dark regarding the free concert, which will need strong security presence and possible traffic changes in the New Kingston area.

The police high command was subsequently briefed on the concert.
