artiste Spice is not only the ‘Queen Of Stage’ but also a consummate trendsetter
for the genre and her female counterparts. In recent weeks, the entertainer has
moved to broaden her professional portfolio with the annexation of several new
titles, including producer, director, brand ambassador and event promoter.
Alluding to the abovementioned, she is credited as producer and director for Tables Turn, a reprised version of Lady G’s 1998 hit Breeze Off. However, Spice’s version is an ode to men, asking what if the roles were reversed in relationships.

Released on the Spice Official Entertainment imprint, the VPal Music distributed track is steadily gaining momentum across the Diaspora, and the music video is also trending on YouTube with more than 1.4 million views.
Set against the backdrop of an opulent lifestyle intertwined with fun, love, sex and betrayal, Spice gives fans a glimpse into what men would endure if the tables were truly turned.
“This song is an anthem for women who want revenge on men who have been taking advantage of them. It’s time for us as women to get up and say what if the tables turn. What if we the women start doing what you have been doing to us – lying, cheating and abusing us. I hope men will listen to this song and look into themselves and see what they have been doing to females over the years,” said Spice, who was recently named as a brand ambassador for Magnum Tonic Wine.
And as the Yuletide season approaches, the Cool It deejay has also launched a new event dubbed ‘Spicey Fridays’. Held at A-Bar Restaurant and Lounge in Kingston, the weekly gathering is her response to the enforcement of the Noise Abatement Act that has led to a drastic reduction of social events, especially across the Kingston and St Catherine metropolis.
“Spicey Fridays is held this an every Friday at A-Bar, it starts at midnight. It’s my way of giving back to the fans who have been complaining since the Noise Abatement Act. They can’t go out, they can’t have fun, they can’t enjoy dancehall, so I just jumped in and found something that would give my fans a chance to mingle and lime with me weekly,” Spice said.
“Another reason was that most of my shows are overseas and fans have been complaining that they’re not seeing me. So now they can come and hang out and have a great time with me.”
