Facebook is on a drive to let you know that it’s more than a social media service.
They want you to know that they are a conglomerate of companies owning the social media company also called Facebook, messenger platforms WhatsApp and Messenger, picture app Instagram, Workplace, Portal, Calibra and Oculus.
To achieve this end Facebook has come out with a new logo to represent this development. It comes in a slimmer design although it represents quite more than some persons maybe knew.
According to Facebook, the new branding was designed for clarity and uses custom typography and capitalization to create a visual distinction between the company and app.
According to Antonio Lucio, Chief Marketing Officer, he remarked that “we’re updating our company branding to be clearer about the products that come from Facebook.
We’re introducing a new company logo and further distinguishing the Facebook company from the Facebook app which will keep its own branding ” he remarked.
The new logo is expected to roll out to the various Facebook owned products in the coming weeks.
