Tracks from Popcaan, Vybz Kartel and Gyptian featured on US magazine’s top songs list

Another decade is coming to a close, and the ‘best of the best’ lists have begun to surface. Pitchfork, a popular online music magazine that claims to be “the most trusted voice in music”, has listed ‘The 200 Best Songs of the 2010s’ and Jamaican entertainers Gyptian, Vybz Kartel and Popcaan have made the list.

Popcaan represented at number 100 with his feature on Jamie Foxx’s 2015 single, I Know There’s Gonna Be Good Times. He and Vybz Kartel were at number 161 on the list of 200 with their banger, Clarks.

Gyptian, on the other hand, made it to top 50 with his 2010 hit, Hold Yuh, that sits at number 49. The song was also remixed by Nicki Minaj.

But Popcaan was not finished, as his 2015 album, Where We Come From, was at number 172 on the ‘The 200 Best Albums of the 2010s’ list.
