Amazon to produce a documentary on Rihanna

Amazon made major moves when they secured worldwide rights to create a documentary on singer and beauty mogul Rihanna.

According to Hollywood Reporter, Amazon paid $25 million dollars to produce a documentary on the singer, similar to that paid out by Apple TV+ to produce a documentary on 17-year old singer Billie Eilish.

The untitled documentary of our favourite Jamaican *coughs* I mean Bajan popstar will be directed by American film director Peter Berg. Berg has previously worked with Rihanna on Universal’s 2012 film ‘Battleship’.

The documentary has been in works for some time capturing every unfiltered moment and growth of one of the world’s most iconic entertainers.

So even though it seems we are not getting an album this Christmas, at least we got news of a documentary. A glimpse into Badgalriri’s life is something we would love to see, especially her journey to building a multi-million dollar empire within a decade with Fenty Beauty and FENTY luxury clothing. Also, if we are lucky we might get a glimpse into her love life but we can only hope.

The singer has recently worked with Amazon when she co-starred with singer and actor Donald Glover to film Guava Island.
