Having graced the lips of top celebrities like Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, Kacey Musgrave, Amara La Negra, it seems there is no stopping Stay Golden Cosmetics.
The lipstick brand, which is based in New York, is quickly garnering favouritism among many women across the world. Stay Golden Cosmetics is also growing on social media, as it has more than 250,000 followers on Instagram since it was launched two years ago.

With the brand growing in popularity, the company, which is owned by Jamaican entrepreneur Danielle Edmond, partnered with Island Girls for a new line called Island Girl Collection. The collection has 22 vibrant lipsticks and 14 lip glosses that draw inspiration from the Caribbean.
When 29-year-old Danielle spoke with BUZZ, she said that the latest collection is a tribute to the Caribbean and its core aim is to constantly remind females of their rich Caribbean culture.
“The Island Girl Collection brought us back to our roots. New York is considered the melting pot because of the variety of cultures present here. It is easy to feel lost, but this collection reminds us of our warmth,” she shared.

Danielle also intends to increase the Caribbean’s visibility through the lipstick brand.
“There is a feeling of pride when you see ‘something made of us’. A package with the word Jamrock or Eleuthera is reminiscent of us, our home, our culture. It was absent, and we plan to fill the gap,” she said.

And in five years, Danielle hopes Stay Golden Cosmetics will see massive growth.
“We just want to grow our squad. We want to continue breaking people out of their shells, convince them to go out and actually live. We would love to build our team to include even more talented West Indians,” she said.
