Dancehall artiste Beenie Man has dedicated the first song off his upcoming album his recently deceased mother’s memory.
He took to Instagram to share his sentiments with fans, also featuring a snippet of the track’s accompanying music video entitled Fun in the Sun.
He captioned the post, “to Mama- I know you are listening from above. There’s nothing that I value more than your love. No matter where I am or what I’m doing, your memories will always keep me smiling. Happy Earthday Mama”
His mom would have celebrated her 64th birthday today.
The track also features the vocal talents of two other dancehall stars, Popcaan and Dre Island, which he has already uploaded to YouTube.
His Simma album was expected last year but has been delayed a number of times because of a number of factors to include the passing of his mother. It is now expected that the album will be released during the course of the year.
Beenie Man’s passed in September of last year after failing to recover from a series of strokes. The emotional toll saw Beenie Man becoming overwhelmed at her funeral where he fainted.
