Beyoncé drops ‘Classy, bougie, ratchet’ playlist

It’s been a minute since the Queen Bey made waves in the music industry but when she stings, it hits differently.

A week after Mrs Carter made a surprise guest appearance on Megan Thee Stallion’s ‘Savage’ remix, the Houston, Texas native dropped her “Classy, Bougie, Ratchet” playlist on stream service Tidal, naturally.

Led off by her new collab with fellow Texan, the two and a half hour-long playlist comprises some real bops that will help take you through these troubling quarantine times.

Beyonce collaborated with Megan Thee Stallion for the ‘Savage’ remix which was released last week.

Featuring on the list are Miss Elliott and Tweet’s ‘Oops (Oh My), her sister Solange’s ‘Stay Flo’ and ‘Almeda’; Sade’s ‘Love Is Stronger Than Pride’; ‘Life is Good’ by Future and Drake; bestie Kelly Rowland’s ‘Coffee’; and Janet Jackson’s ‘Any Time, Any Place’.

The eclectic mix, featuring some fave throwbacks and recent hits, will have you partying so hard you won’t even remember it’s been days since you saw sunlight.

Not to pick favourites (but also, why not?) have a listen to Missy Elliott’s ‘Cool Off’ if you’ve never heard it before. It’s that song you’ll be dancing to at the family barbecue in ten years’ time and saying ‘You kids don’t even know!’
