Dancehall icons Bounty Killer and Lady Saw have received gold certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) after two songs by pop group No Doubt hit 500 thousand in sales.
The songs are part of No Doubt’s 2001 album Rock Steady on which Bounty Killer featured on the hit Hey Baby while Lady Saw featured on the track Underneath It All. Both songs were produced by legendary duo Sly and Robbie while the group was working on the album in Jamaica.
The RIAA provided the update about the achievement on March 8.
Both songs also provided Grammy wins for the group with Hey Baby winning the award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo of Group in 2002 and Underneath It All following suit in the same category the next year.
Bounty Killer recently shared a throwback moment about the track which saw him sharing a video of himself performing at the 2003 Super Bowl halftime show with the group.
