On September 27, Buju Banton’s Til Shiloh was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) after the album sold more than 500,000 copies.

Released in 1995, the album features some of Buju’s biggest tracks including Untold Stories, Murderer, Champion, Not An Easy Road and Wanna Be Loved.  It is also said that the 17-track album introduced the entertainer to a worldwide audience after he had ventured on to a more conscious Rastafari path.

It is also believed that Til Shiloh is Buju’s most successful work to date, as it charted on Billboard and it appeared on other charts around the world. The album did so well that Buju even re-released the project in 2002 with two additional tracks – Sensemilia Persecution and Rampage.
