It may only be just over two months since the birth of her son but already, Cardi B is back in her bag. The internationally renowned rapper announced on Thursday that she has landed a partnership with Playboy making her the lifestyle brand’s first-ever creative director in residence.
According to the New York Post, the multi-platinum musician, entrepreneur and activist who recently made global headlines for successfully hosting the 2021 American Music Awards, is set to provide artistic direction with co-branded fashion, sexual wellness products, digital editorial content and more.
An excited Cardi B took to her social media to make the announcement. Dubbing the partnership a ‘dream’, the WAP rapper said her fans are going to love the collaboration.
“Introducing the FIRST EVER Creative Director In Residence at the legendary @playboy, it’s ME!!! Joining the @playboy family is a dream and I know yall are going to love what we put together. I’m startin this party right as the Founding Creative Director and a founding member of CENTERFOLD the new creator-led platform from Playboy coming soon!! We’re going to have soooooo much fun,” she posted to her Instagram.
Cardi B will also serve as the founding creative director and a founding member of the company’s upcoming, “creative-led” CENTERFOLD platform.
Merchandise created through the collaboration between Playboy and Cardi B aims to expand the Playboy brand and community.
The news comes a day after Cardi B announced her latest business venture, Whipshots. The latter are uniquely flavoured Vodka whip cream which Cardi B says are bound to get you “drunk and naughty.”
