Chubble! Popcaan to host virtual concert next week

Dancehall artiste Popcaan is gearing up for an ‘unruly’ evening next week, as he will be hosting virtual concert.

Popcaan at Unruly Fest last year.

The event, ‘Popcaan & Friends: Fixtape Live’, will be hosted on the Boiler Room website, on Sunday, November 29, starting at 5 p.m.

According to the website, blrrm.tv/popcaan, Popcaan will be joined by a number of guests during the one-night-show. However, it did not state who the guests would be.

“Boiler Room presents the first-ever full live show for Popcaan’s new project FIXTAPE, direct from a historic fort in Jamaica. New music played for the first time, a run of all-time career classics & an entourage of special guests— live for one night only,” the website said.

But be prepared to spend some coins because this virtual event isn’t free. It will cost US$12.50 to get in on the action.

Luckily, the price tag doesn’t seem to be a problem for the Popcaan’s fans who are already eager to see the show.

“Fully fully …. booking tht ticket now …… mi Gud live for my bday,” one social media user commented on Popcaan’s page.

Another added: “I Can’t wait, who nah nuh ticket 🎫 ah bat.”

The show is certainly good news for people who would have been gearing up to attend Popcaan’s Unruly Fest in St Thomas this year. There has not been any word on the show, but it is unlikely that it will be held based on the current COVID-19 protocols.
