Elephant Man’s lawyer wants video evidence

BUZZ Fam, you may recall that dancehall artiste, Elephant Man was charged for breaching airport protocol 8 (5) of the Immigration Act. This is after he allegedly refused to declare that he was coming from a country that Jamaica had imposed travel restrictions on to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

Well, he has since appeared in court to answer to the charges. And his lawyer, Christopher Townsend said is requesting video evidence of the occurrence. In an interview with the Jamaica Observer, Townsend said he had already submitted a formal request.

“We have already written the letter which will be submitted to the prosecutor so that we can formally request the video footage of Elephant Man in the immigration area in the airport,” he said.

The case is to be heard again on September four.
