Popular 4th Genna recording artiste Govana has donated more than $100,000 to grade nine Jonathan Grant High School student Omar Lindo, whose home was destroyed in a fire recently.

Omar lost his home on Nugent Street in Spanish Town, St Catherine, some weeks ago. Six of his friends and classmates decided to make life easier for him by pooling money to replace some of the items he lost.

Govana came to the rescue on Tuesday, donating more than $100,000 to the very appreciative youngster. Omar’s very helpful friends were also given $15,000 each by Govana while being lauded for being real friends.

The dancehall artiste’s appearance and donation came as a surprise even to Miss Kitty and her team who organised a Christmas celebration at the school for Omar, his classmates and the Manning Cup team.
