Joe Biden apologizes for “Ain’t black” comment

US presidential candidate, Joe Biden

So BUZZ fam, you may have seen the clip of an interview with US presidential candidate Joe Biden, telling Breakfast Club host, Charlamagne tha God that if anyone black person votes for Trump over him, that person is not black.

Well, needless to say, his comment didn’t go so well with members of the black community. And members took to social media to put him on blast. HipHop star, Diddy accused Biden of believing that the black vote is free, and BET founder, Robert Johnson said he should spend the rest of his life apologizing to every black person for the comment.

Well, Biden might not spend the rest of his life, but he did start. He issued an apology earlier today, saying that he shouldn’t have been so indifferent.

“I should not have been so cavalier. I’ve never, never, ever taken the African-American community for granted,’ Biden said, according to the Associated Press. ‘I shouldn’t have been such a wise guy.”

Biden added that, “No one should have to vote for any party based on their race, their religion, their background,” on a conference call with the U.S. Black Chamber of Commerce Friday afternoon.
