Kobe Bryant is the most-searched person we lost in 2020

Several noted personalities left us this year, sending shockwaves throughout the entertainment community.

Among those whose passing left the greatest impact, sending thousands, if not millions to Internet, were Kobe Bryant and Naya Rivera.

The two were the Google’s most searched individuals who passed away.

Legendary basketballer Bryant died in a helicopter crash, along with his daughter Gianna and seven others, in Calabasas, California on January 26.

‘Glee’ actress Naya Rivera

Glee actress Naya Rivera was the second most-searched personality who died this year after accidentally drowning while on a renter boat with her son in California in July.

Third on the list was Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman who died in August after a four-year long battle with colon cancer.

Sushant Singh Rajput, an Indian actor who starred in several Bollywood films, was fourth. Rajput was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his Mumbai home in June.

George Floyd, a black man who died after a white police officer, Derek Chauvin, kneeled on his neck for over eight minutes, was fifth most-searched. Chauvin was charged with second-degree murder, third-degree murder and manslaughter while three other officers were charged with aiding and abetting both second-degree murder and manslaughter.
