OMI’s ‘Cheerleader’ among Billboard’s top 100 songs of the decade

As we begin to wrap another decade, Billboard has revealed its top 100 singles of the 2010s.

Jamaican singer OMI

Included among the list of chart-topping bops is Cheerleader by Jamaican artiste OMI, which claimed the No. 83 spot.

The single was inescapable when released, especially after being treated to a remix by Felix Jaehn in 2014, helping to catapult it to the Billboard Hot 100’s peak the following year.

Cheerleader would go on to garner over a billion views on YouTube, a distinction which it earned last month.

Taking the top spot for the Hot 100 Songs for the 2010s is Uptown Funk! by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars, which hit the chart’s peak in January 2015.
