It’s already been a year since Jamaican sprinter Elaine Thompson-Herah tied the knot with hubby Derron Herah.
Flooding her Instagram timeline with pictures and a video on Monday, Elaine shared that she is celebrating her first wedding anniversary with her husband who she adores.
“Lord, you are a glorious God who has allowed my husband and I to witness one year of marriage. As we celebrate our anniversary, receive all the glory and may those who see us praise your holy name,” she said in an Instagram post.
“Words cannot express the joy I feel because of your blessings upon our lives. One year of marriage have come with trials and you have seen us through them all (Psalm 34:19). You have been our source of healing and hope and have walked this journey with us daily. May this marriage bring you glory and praise with every passing year we’re together. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Happy 1st anniversary to us.”
That post was followed by another in which she said: “One year! We made it! Happy first wedding anniversary to us (beautiful couple)– here’s to many, many more.”
In another photo, Derron is seen holding her leg in a flirty pose.
Elaine also gave her followers a peek into her wedding day by sharing a video of the dance she did for her groom on their special day.
In the clip, which she is promising to delete, Elaine is accompanied by five females as she dances for Derron. She definitely showed a different side of her, as she did moves to songs like Hood Celebrityy’s Walking Trophy and RDX’s Drop. The other females soon left the dance floor to Elaine and Derron, as they danced to Lady Marmalade by Christina Aguilera, Lil’ Kim, Mya and Pink.
In addition to wishing her and Derron a happy anniversary, many people insisted that the video should stay on her page.
“Dont delete, that’s lovely. Happy Anniversary,” one social media user said.
“Guh deh girl…happy anniversary,” another added.
Elaine got married to Derron on November 2, 2019 at the Old Fort Bay in St Ann. Derron is a former hurdler, who is now coaching.
