Less than a day after sharing the stage with the iconic Beres Hammond, dancehall artiste Popcaan has taken to social media to express his joy at the opportunity.

The Firm and Strong singer shared a clip of himself with Hammond, captioned, “Words can’t express how happy i am to share the stage with this super talented human being. @bereshammond may GOD continue to guide and protect each day, forever appreciate you and your music, my respect!!!! #LivingLegend salute.”

The post was warmly received by fans and music contemporaries, including Spice, Like Iké and Jesse Royal who all shared favourable responses in the comment section.

Popcaan’s feelings for Beres are certainly mutual, following the reggae crooner’s warm introduction ahead of their God is Love track.

Hammond said, “There’s a young man who I have so much admiration for and me and this kid yah happen fi just do a tune the other day,” he said. “It nuh come out or anything but I so much love this song and I hope I ‘member it.”

The performance was part of Hammond’s “Love from a Distance” virtual concert which was streamed by over 100,000 people last evening.
