Quada releases new single, confirms split from Popcaan’s Unruly Camp

Dancehall artist Quada has released a new single. Dubbied Di Vibes, the track was released on December 18 and is an ode to not only island life but the effervescent nature of the Jamaican people.

“It nuh matter weh yuh come from nor skin colour, everybody link tall like twin tower…we problems tall but we money get nuffer. If a party tonight, bring the army tonight. Roll out, couple gyal, couple car, couple bike,” Quada sings in the song’s first verse.

The single has amassed close to 100,000 views on YouTube since its release and has been attracting a boatload of positive reviews. Fans of the entertainer have been flooding the comment section with praises for the artiste, highlighting that when it comes to producing quality music, Quada never disappoints.

“Quada a next great song. Keep up the good works in music. Bless,” user boogie melody commented.

“As an upcoming artist that knows that our music is very powerful, the direction that you have decided to go is one that many youths should be looking into. I applaud you and your team and the new direction,” another user, Meskel Sounds posted.

Speaking of new direction, Quada recently announced that has parted ways with Popcaan’s Unruly Camp and has formed his own label.

“I just want to say first things first, big up and blessings, it’s always love and respect to Popcaan and Unruly Entertainment but I just want the world to know that I’m doing my own thing now. As I said, I am the CEO of my own company Wellbad Entertainment.”

Dubbed Wellbad Entertainment, the label is responsible for producing Di Vibes.

In an interview with entertainment reporter, Winford Williams said he has ‘leveled up’ and is now managing his own career. He sought to make it clear however, that the split was amicable and that there was no bad vibes between Popcaan and himself.

“I just want to say first things first, big up and blessings, it’s always love and respect to Popcaan and Unruly Entertainment but I just want the world to know that I’m doing my own thing now. As I said, I am the CEO of my own company Wellbad Entertainment,” Quada shared. “You know in life, everything is subjected to change but with Unruly Entertainment and with Popcaan, it’s all love and respect so big up Popcaan.”

Quada, whose real name is Shacquelle Clarke, first signed to Popcaan’s Unruly Entertainment record label back in 2018.  They have collaboration on We Don’t Play with Jafrass, Billions and the FIXTAPE track Have It with Skillibeng.

With a new label and a new focus, the Celebration singer also revealed plans to launch his debut EP next year.
