SUPERSIZE ME: More American men shelling out big bucks for larger penis

Males across the United States are reportedly swarming plastic surgeons to have their genitals pumped up.

“It’s very, very popular,” Dr Norman Rowe told the New York Post newspaper. Dr Rowe is a board-certified plastic surgeon and owner of Rowe Plastic Surgery in New York.

“The numbers are up 25 per cent over last year, and I do about 30 a month,” said Rowe, who charges anywhere from US$3,000 to US$25,000 for the phallic fillers.

Although penis enhancement surgery has existed in the shadows for decades, p-shots — package-plumping fillers that are typically made with hyaluronic acid — are now taking off among men of all ages, said Rowe.

NYC plastic surgeons say these fillers — which are about adding width and not length — are catching on because they’re culturally acceptable, minimally invasive and not permanent. Injections last up to two years and can be “melted” down with enzymes if needed.

‘I hooked up with this British girl and she said, ‘Bloody hell.’

— Paul

Paul, a 47-year-old who works in finance, said it was curiosity — and not insecurity — that inspired his inflation. “It’s a competitive dating world. You have to take whatever edge you can get,” he said. Dermal fillers brought the circumference of Paul’s privates from 6 inches to a startling 8. He said the results speak for themselves.

“I feel like whatever movements I make are magnified for the women as well. Some women are like, ‘Whoa, it’s really enormous. I better do yoga if I want to keep dating you.’ I hooked up with this British girl and she said, ‘Bloody hell.’” He’s so far spent roughly $30,000 on several procedures.
