Taylor Swift has dethroned Queen Nicki as the female with the highest number of Billboard hits. Nicki Minaj was the first woman ever to earn 100 hits on the coveted chart. It’s a spot that she has held since May 2017 when she beat Aretha Franklin’s record for 73 entries after matching the Queen of Soul in March 2017.
However, after Taylor Swift released her 8th album Folklore nearly two weeks ago, the pop singer skyrocketed to the top of the Billboard chart, dethroning Nicki Minaj. Taylor Swift now has 113 entries in the Billboard Hot 100, beating Nicki’s 110.
According to Billboard, every last track from the standard edition of Taylor Swift’s new album charted on the Billboard Hot 100 this week.
The 16 additional new entries were enough to make the singer the new female record holder with the most Hot 100 hits.
