Dancehall artiste Teejay has added his voice to those pleading for men to stop violence against women in Jamaica.

His call comes as the country weeps over the death of yet another woman who was kidnapped, raped, and killed.

The “Uptop Boss” took to his Instagram account to vent his frustration, and appeal to men to stop the violence against women.

“Don’t kill di woman dem bredda uno stop nuh, stop kill the woman dem man, you a hurt wi now man, give the woman dem a bly,” he pleaded.

“It nuh mek no sense uno a walk round and try kill di woman dem eno bredda. And a nuh every man mi a speak fa neither, a just some man out there- and uno a no man to, and uno a boy either, uno a something else,” he continued.

Teejay shared that he grew up in a single-parent household headed by his mother, and is also a girl dad. So this wave of violence against women deeply upsets him.

“Just low the woman dem and mek the woman dem flourish, if a no a no,” he said.

“So mi fi send my daughter go a school ya now and all worry seh man aguh rape my little daughter. No, mi fi know seh mi daughter she alright, she can walk come from school if she nuh feel like she nuh wah get pick up today.
