Spice has unfollowed Shenseea on Instagram, adding more fuel to the fiery online spat between the two dancehall stars.
Yesterday’s move by Spice, born Grace Hamilton, came roughly 24 hours after Shenseea stopped following the So Mi Like It artiste on the platform.
It was just the latest in a series of events that have seen the relationship between, arguably, dancehall’s biggest female stars.
While there was rumoured animosity between the pair, things came to a head on Monday when Jada Kingdom gave Spice credit for influencing her artistry. Spice reshared the seemingly innocent post, but added that Jada’s acknowledgement of her role in the genre was the first by female artiste online.
Well, that apparently didn’t go over well with Shenseea, whose account soon unfollowed Spice, and saw the ‘ShengYeng Boss’ post a cryptic message to her Instagram Story. The message said, “BADMIND cya hide wid make up. #BadAlone #NotInAGang.”
It didn’t end there as Spice doubled down on initial comments, while attempting to dismiss those she thought were trying to create mischief. “‘I’ve never been tagged by a female artist to say they watched and learned anything from me. You told me even on Club house that you use to sit and watch my performances and look at you now’, end quote,” she started. “How is this a lie or shade. Y’all twist words to reflect what you want. I’m way to successful to be arguing over dumb sh*t. #Goodnight.”
BUZZ fam, it seems the story is only in the first few chapters, and there’s much more to come. If you’d like to catch up on where it began, check out our stories below:
