The BUZZ team joined many Jamaicans who participated in the ICWI Pink Run which is one of the country’s leading signature events in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.
Starting at 6.30 a.m. at Emancipation Park in New Kingston on Sunday 27, October, the Pink Run drew hundreds, all in good spirits running and walking the 5K along Oxford Road through Old Hope Road, Seymour Road, Montrose Road, Lady Musgrave Road, St Lucia Avenue, part of Knutsford Boulevard and finishing back at Emancipation Park. The ICWI Pink Run continues to be the major fundraiser for Jamaica Reach 2 Recovery (JR2R) which is the breast cancer support arm of the Jamaica Cancer Society.
Janielle Johnson, the commercial manager for Ramble Media Corporation, which is BUZZ’s parent company, said: “The ICWI Cancer Pink Run was well organised and started bang on time. Many participated in the theme and there were so many creative costumes. The Buzz team came out and we got behind a very important cause. It was a wonderful morning.”
