Both Chet Hanks parents; Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson were hospitalized with COVID-19, and now he’s advocating against the vaccines.
In a rant on Instagram, the 31-year-old told people who contracted the virus to “get over it”.
In the video, Hanks pretended at first to be encouraging his followers to get vaccinated.
“I’ve been on the fence about this for awhile, that’s why I never really spoken about it,” he said. “But with the amount of people that I know have gotten COVID and with like the numbers rising, I think its important for me to say like, I got the vaccine. I think everybody should, I think its really important that we all do this just as like citizens of America we have to look out for each other and get this sh*t under control guys so like I would suggest to all my followers, you guys need to set an appointment and get the vaccine first thing…..”
He then screamed “Sike!” and shouted: “You ain’t sticking me with that m*therf**king needle!”
He continued; ” If it’s not broken don’t fix it, I never had COVID, it’s the motherfucking flu. Get over it, if you’re sick stay inside. I’m tired of wearing a motherf**king mask.
Last year, Tom Hanks detailed to the Guardian, the effects COVID-19 had on him and his wife.
“My wife lost her sense of taste and smell, she had severe nausea, she had a much higher fever than I did,” he told the outlet. Adding that he had “crippling body aches, I was very fatigued all the time and I couldn’t concentrate on anything for more than about 12 minutes.”
