After taking a break, the Diner en Blanc franchise will return to Jamaican soil this year.
When the event was first held in Jamaica in 2015, it was a success. It was also well received in the years that followed. However, none was held in 2018.
Well, Jamaicans can get their white outfits ready because the franchise is coming back to Jamaica on November 30.
For the sophisticated all-white dinner, participants are required to bring their own food, tables, chairs, tablecloths, candelabra, china and silverware. If someone who wants to attend the event is not part of a group, he or she can register online. If selected, individuals are informed of the secret location hours before the event.
Diner en Blanc was first practised in Paris, France, by François Pasquier in 1988. The concept was introduced to Montreal, Canada, by Pasquier’s son, Aymeric, in 2009. Since then the concept has been replicated in more than 70 countries.
