ABC Entertainment president Karey Burke made the announcement on Wednesday that the show will once again so forward without a host.
She said this decision was made based on “what worked for us last year” when the event was hosted for the first time since 1989 without a host.
Comedian Kevin Hart was initially announced as host, but after old homophobic tweets resurfaced, Hart apologized and stepped down from the gig.

Last year’s ceremony rose 12% to 29.6 million viewers, up from an all-time low the year prior.
