A buffalo racer in southern India is being compared to Jamaican sprint legend Usain Bolt.
Yes BUZZ Fam, you heard us right. Srinivas Gowda, a 28-year-old construction worker, is said to have recently run 13.42 seconds through a 142-metre paddy (rice) field along with two buffaloes.
This has led to persons making comparisons between the sprint king Bolt and the Kambala (buffalo) racer. In fact, several local journalists in India have been positing that Gowda has actually broken Bolt’s record.
One newspaper touted that he technically ran the 100m in 9.55s if they were to make an accurate determination across a slushy muddy field.
However, some are erring on the side of caution with Professor K Gunapala Kadamba indicating that they don’t like to make comparisons to others as events like the Olympics have more scientific methods and better electronic equipment to measure speed.
What do you think? Does the Buffalo racer have a case against the greatest sprinter of all time?
