The legendary pugilist said on Monday, “I’ve been looking to tell my story for quite some time”, adding that it will “not only captures my professional and personal journey but also inspires and entertains.”

The series is being produced by Tyson with Foxx and filmmaker Martin Scorsese listed also listed as producers.

Tyson’s announcement did not share details as to when the project will air.

It comes on the heels of streaming service Hulu revealing it will run an eight episode series on Tyson, called Iron Mike. The boxer slammed the production, calling out the company for “cultural appropriation” and sharing he was not being compensated for the series.
