BUZZ Fam, flying anywhere at any time in their private jets is not enough for the world’s richest anymore, they are now flying to space.
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos will be flying to space in July with his brother on the first human flight launched by his space company, Blue Origin.
According to the world’s richest man, this is something he wanted to do since he was a child.
“On July 20th, I will take that journey with my brother,” he wrote in an Instagram post. “The greatest adventure, with my best friend.”
This flight will also be another way for Bezos to make even more money. Bidding for a seat on the New Shepard which is the name of the Blue Origin vehicle, had reached $2.8m when Bezos announced his plan to take the flight. The auction concludes on 12 June.
The company plans to launch its passengers more than 100km (62 miles) above the Earth’s surface, allowing them to experience microgravity, according to Blue Origin’s website. The six-berth capsule will return to Earth under parachutes.
