Reggae artiste Jesse Royal is stepping into the philanthropist arena.
The singer recently launched his Palace Pickney Foundation, which is aimed at engaging students from the early childhood and primary education levels, with the expectation of helping to develop them “culturally”.
With sessions called Circle Time, Jesse Royal makes the rounds at different schools, interacting with children and reading books written by Jamaican authors. The sessions also include Royal speaking in the Jamaican dialect and using reggae music and beats to communicate.
He has so far visited the Rosedale Basic School for their pre-Heroes’ Day celebration. Earlier this week, they made a second stop at the Padmore Primary School, in Rural St Andrew.
