American actor John Travolta has paid tribute to his late wife Kelly Preston, three months after she lost her battle with breast cancer.
Posting a picture from their wedding day almost three decades ago, the 66-year-old actor wrote a note for Preston who would have turned 58 years old today, October 13. He also shared a picture of his parents on their wedding day.
“Happy Birthday hon!” John said. “I found this photo of my mom and dad‘s wedding. It was nice to see ours alongside theirs. All my love, John.”
Preston succumbed to breast cancer on July 12, two years after finding out that she had the disease. She was 57 years old.
“Choosing to keep her fight private, she had been undergoing medical treatment for some time, supported by her closest family and friends,” her family said following her death.
“She was a bright, beautiful and loving soul who cared deeply about others and who brought life to everything she touched.”
Preston was known for her roles she played in movies like Jerry Maguire, What A Girl Wants, For The Love Of The Game and Old Dogs. She has also acted in many TV shows, including CSI: Cyber, Fat Actress and Medium.
