Months after filing for divorce from her husband, Brandon Blackstock, singer Kelly Clarkson has revealed that their kids are also getting therapy to deal with the split.
In June, Clarkson filed for divorce, and she said that the process has been especially difficult because she is a public figure.
Acknowledging that it is also a struggle for their kids, six-year-old River Rose and four-year-old Remington Alexander, she said that they have also been getting therapy.
“We have a lot of help as far as therapists or child psychologists because we want to do it right. I definitely want to do it right. Everyone’s sad and it’s okay to be sad,” Clarkson said while speaking to fellow singer Gwen Stefani on ‘Extra’ on Monday.
“It’s just one day when you’re like, ‘Wow, this has forever changed and it’s not just my heart has changed, there’s other little hearts, too’,” Clarkson added.
This is not the first time that Clarkson has mentioned the kids and how the divorce could affect them. Last month, she said that she would not be completely open about the split because kids are also involved.
Black also has two kids from a previous marriage. They are Savannah, 18, and 13-year-old Seth.
