Dancers Pretty Pretty, TC, and Dancing Rebel were among a group of individuals who volunteered their time and effort to helped in the construction of a house in Clarendon recently.
The ‘PTR’ trio was joined by other members of the Downsound Records collective as they sought to lend a hand to charity group, Food for the Poor, who spearheaded the construction of the house.
Also present on the day was dancehall artiste Marcy Chin. The four provided some girl power particularly in the area of painting.
Dubbed mission #9, the activity received sponsorship from drink manufacturer, Boom. The house, it is believed will provide an improvement in the life of a female resident.
Downsound Records CEO Joe Bogdonovich, was also on the scene. He shared that his company has been partnering with Food for the Poor for a while now. “We’ve been involved with Food for the Poor for quite some time with H&L and Downsound and all of that” he remarked.
Food for the Poor has been constructing houses for the country’s less fortunate for more than 38 years. And to celebrate this milestone, the NGO has plans 38 houses this year.
