Rapper Snoop has nothing but thanks for former US President Donald Trump for giving his friend Micheal “Harry-O” Harris a last-minute pardon.
“That’s great work for the president and his team on the way out,” Snoop Dogg reportedly said after hearing the news. “They did some great work while they was in there and they did some great work on their way out. Let them know that I love what they did.”
Snoop Dogg has been an outspoken critic of Donald Trump while he was in office, but joined activists in seeking a pardon for Harris.
Harris, who is co-founder of Death Row Records was convicted in 1988 of attempted murder and kidnapping. But during his time locked up, Harris reportedly reinvented himself as an activist and has been campaigning for prison reform.
Death Row Records was the home for Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, and Tupac as West Coast rap exploded during the early Nineties.
