We know some persons like to keep their conversations private and it should be welcomed news that mega messaging app WhatsApp has added a fingerprint scanner option for Android phones.

This option was already rolled out on iPhone devices but now is in place for stable users on the Android platform.

Point to note however, the fingerprint lock doesn’t block calls, but it does hide messages and other logs behind another layer of security which is always a nice option to have.

Users can also set a timer on the automatic lock to prevent the fingerprint dialogue from appearing every time they open up the application.
