Will Smith the politician? He’s not ruling it out!

Will Smith has joked about taking a stab at politics before but the rapper turn actor recently stated he will seriously consider it “at some point’.

Smith, during an appearance on the Crooked Media’s Pod Save America podcast with host Jon Favreau, said he wouldn’t rule out a run at political office.

However, the Emancipation Day actor said, “I think for now I’ll let that office get cleaned up a little bit and then I’ll consider that at some point down the line.”

“I had never looked into the eyes of a racist and saw anything that I perceived as intellect.”

He added, “I absolutely have an opinion, I’m optimistic, I’m hopeful, I believe in understanding between people and I believe in the possibility of harmony.”

His comments followed a discussion on the impact of racism and discrimination on his life, noting that the “process of education and understanding” can help to lessen their most severe effects.

“I grew up with the impression that racists and racism were stupid, and they were easy to get around. I just had to be smarter now while they were very dangerous. I had never looked into the eyes of a racist and saw anything that I perceived as intellect.”
