Jamaica now has 143 confirmed cases of the coronavirus.
Health Minister Dr Christopher Tufton made the announcement Thursday morning (April 16).
The jump is as a result of an additional 18 cases over the last 24 hours, Tufton told a digital press conference.
The leap comes on the heels of a massive jump of 20 COVID-19 cases that were announced on Wednesday.
The majority of those cases were associated with the Alorica call centre in Portmore, St Catherine. This resulted in the entire parish of St Catherine being placed under quarantine.
