40 million COVID-19 cases recorded globally

More than 40 million people have contracted coronavirus in the world.

This is according to the John Hopkins’ Coronavirus Resource Center that says 40,155,883 COVID-19 cases have been recorded globally.

Most of the cases have been recorded in the United States where 8,160,132 have tested positive for the virus.

India follows with 7.5 million cases while there have been 5.2 million cases in Brazil. Russia is some millions away from the leading pack with 1.4 million cases.

In the United States alone, more than 219,000 people have died from COVID-19. This is a significant portion of the 1.1 million fatalities linked to coronavirus globally.

Luckily, 30.2 million people have recovered from the virus worldwide.
