American charged after being caught with cocaine at airport in Mobay

An American national who was taken into custody following a drug seizure at the Sangster’s International Airport on Saturday (December 4) has been formally charged.

22-year-old Cameryn Harris-Love of North Carolina, USA has been charged with Possession of Cocaine, Dealing in Cocaine and Conspiracy to Export Cocaine.

Reports are that about 12:00 p.m., Harris-Love was about to board a flight at the Sangster’s International Airport to Charlotte, USA when the Narcotics Police searched her luggage.

During the search officers found a secret compartment that contained a white substance, resembling cocaine.

She was taken into custody and the drugs seized.

The weight is approximately 4.25 lbs. with an estimated street value of USD$96,500.00.

She is scheduled to appear before the St. James Parish Court on Friday December 10, 2021.
