Member of Parliament (MP) for East Portland Ann-Marie Vaz, has expressed her intention to follow up with the US embassy following the recent rejection of her US visa application.
In a statement released by her husband, MP for West Portland Daryl Vaz, it is outlined that Mrs Vaz had visited the embassy in Kingston on Thursday, December 5, following the expiration of her visa, only to have her application rejected.
Mrs Vaz was previously afforded a US diplomatic visa due to her being the wife of Minister Vaz but that was revoked when her husband had that privilege cancelled by the United States embassy.
So far the embassy has not changed its stance on Minister Vaz’s situation.
