Despite their best efforts, Dinthill was no match for Clarendon College during the daCosta Cup final.

Clarendon College defeated Dinthill Technical High 3-0 to retain the ISSA/Wata daCosta Cup schoolboy football title on Saturday at Montego Bay Sports Complex in St James.

Clarendon pressed Dinthill for the first 10 minutes of the match, with Dinthill having to make hasty clearances.

For the remainder of the first half, Dinthill allowed Clarendon space to play and countered quickly.

Clarendon went on the attack again at the start of the second half and eventually got the opening goal, when Simpson rose high to head home a cross from the left.

Clarendon went further ahead when Nicholson robbed the ball on the right flank and cut inside to beat the advancing Demero Hill in goal for Dinthill.
