Clarendon College will be seeking their ninth daCosta Cup title and Dinthill Technical their third, when they battle in the final of the ISSA/Wata daCosta Cup schoolboy football competition at the Montego Bay Sports Complex on Saturday.
The match will commence at 5 p.m. with Clarendon starting as the favourites in a season in which they threatened to sweep all the titles, but could end up trophy-less, should they lose.
Both teams took contrasting routes to the final. Clarendon won five of their six preliminary round matches and then flattened their opponents in the next stages.
Dinthill scraped through the preliminary round, in which they got boardroom assistance to move into the next phase, as Charlemont lost points for using an ineligible player. Dinthill grabbed the opportunity by doing enough to get to this stage.
The ISSA/Wata Ben Francis Cup knockout competition will be played before the start of the daCosta Cup. It begins at 2:30 p.m.
