The fight against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues in earnest, as Caribbean countries report more recoveries than deaths over the last 24 hours.

As at 1:37 pm Greenwich Meridian Time (GMT) a total of 17,349 confirmed cases have been recorded by respective health departments across 31 countries and territories, with 732 patients dying after contracting the illness.

Encouragingly, the recovery rate is gathering steam as some 5,683 recoveries (barring Puerto Rico) have been confirmed, and with it, hope that COVID-19 could be brought under control soon than later.
